November is National Family Caregivers Month. If you’re caring for an older family member, your effort makes a tremendous difference! The YMCA of Greater Louisville will soon have some cool new equipment you can try out. In the next month or so, they’ll be installing EGYM Smart Strength equipment, which gives older adults a safer, more personalized way to build strength and stay active. EGYM automatically adjusts each machine to the user’s ideal seat height, resistance, and range of motion, helping you train with proper form and reduced risk of injury. The guided circuit provides a complete full-body workout in about 22 minutes. The YMCA will be the only organization in Louisville offering this smart fitness technology.

Just in time for Thanksgiving, Eastern Area Community Ministries worked with local Scouts of the Lincoln Heritage Council on their food drive and filled two large pods with food to keep EACM’s pantry stocked for our neighbors. Way to go!
