Fall is beginning to unfold in Louisville, and with no shortage of concerts and festivals this September, you can get out and enjoy the first glimmers of the season.
The Biggest and Best
If we’re listing September concerts, it’s a no-brainer to start with Louisville’s epic fall event: Bourbon and Beyond. Happening Sept. 24-27 at the Kentucky Exposition Center, this year’s artists include big names like Foo Fighters, Mumford & Sons, and Dave Matthews Band. Over the years, the festival has grown by leaps and bounds, bringing in more than 200,000 fans. There are a few ticket tiers, from standard general admission to a premium VIP experience that includes elevated viewing platforms, air-conditioned lounges, fancy eats, and oh — let’s not forget the bourbon.
Step Back in Time
Let’s talk about September 18-20 and the Gaslight Festival! A tradition in Jeffersontown, the festival began 55 years ago as a small street fair, but today it includes over 100 arts and crafts vendors, community nonprofit booths, and local food trucks. Plus, you can enjoy the parade, golf scramble, car show, and more. Grab your family and friends and experience the fun that feels like stepping back in time.
Art Lovers Weekend
The Big Four Arts Festival by the walking bridge at Waterfront Park draws over 15,000 visitors with paintings, sculptures, jewelry, and unique crafts. Take a walk under the trees Sept. 12-13 and maybe stock up for the upcoming holidays with unique gifts for friends and family.
Neighborhood Togetherness
NULU Fest is an annual street festival celebrating the creativity and growth of Louisville’s East Market District. This fall festival on Sept. 19 features local food, craft beers, bourbon, live music, shopping, and activities for all ages.
