Embrace the great outdoors this month before the humidity kicks up the heat. Whether you’re a music enthusiast or a foodie, Louisville has something special waiting for you in June!

The first weekend of the month, take a trip to Butchertown for its annual art fair June 7-8. Stroll under the trees in one of the oldest neighborhoods in Louisville and peruse works from more than 80 juried artists and craft makers.
On select Friday evenings in June, take the whole family to the Downtown Drive-In at Waterfront Park. There’ll be plenty of snacks, drinks, and of course popcorn to enjoy while watching a movie out in the warm summer air. Films to look forward to include Happy Gilmore (PG-13) on June 6 and Fast and Furious (PG-13) on June 20. If you miss the drive-in this month, not to worry; this series will continue on various Friday nights through the summer into October.

The Louisville Zoo is hosting its 44th annual Zoofari Gala on June 13. Get your tickets ASAP because this event from 6-11pm supports the zoo’s mission and offers a wild evening of entertainment. You’ll be able to indulge in signature cocktails, dinner, and live music.

On June 14, experience the Sky Soul Festival celebrating soul, R&B, and hip-hop music at this month’s happening place: Waterfront Park. Dive into a day of live performances, local artisans, and vibrant culture from 3-11pm.

Then on June 21, you can celebrate diversity at the Kentuckiana Pride Festival. Promoting social, economic, and health equity of Kentuckiana’s sexual and gender minorities, this event features a lively parade starting at noon, live music, and various vendors at Waterfront Park.
